This historic hotel holds the distinction of being Vanuatu's oldest running, built in 1975 and designed with architecture inspired by the beautiful Murex shell found at river mouths. Having weathered cyclones and earthquakes over the decades, it combines authentic 1970s character with tropical charm.
The hotel features two accommodation styles: air-conditioned rooms upstairs and fan-cooled rooms downstairs among the gardens, all with a hearty tropical buffet breakfast featuring toast, local jams and fresh seasonal fruit included.
The hotel's artistic soul shines through original artwork by Mutu, a Vietnamese artist born in Vanuatu who also created the mural at Santo-Pekoa Airport.
